🎉 Raptors Secure Two NSW Government Local Sport Grants

The UTS – Sydney Olympic Park Raptors Hockey Club is proud to announce that we have been successfully awarded two grants under the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program 2025, administered by the NSW Office of Sport.

These grants represent a total investment of $10,420 into our club and will directly support player development, equipment upgrades, and community promotion, ensuring the Raptors Hockey Club continue to grow as an inclusive, well-supported hockey club in Sydney Olympic Park.

✅ Grant 1: Upgrade of Player & Coaching Equipment

Funding awarded: $5,420

This grant will be used to significantly enhance our training and match‑day resources for players and coaches across the club.
Funding will support the purchase of:

• Training and match hockey balls
• Goalkeeper equipment kits
• Equipment bags and supporting training resources

These upgrades will improve the quality of training sessions, increase safety, and ensure our teams have access to modern, reliable equipment that supports player development from juniors through to seniors.

✅ Grant 2: Promotion of the UTS Raptors Hockey Club

Funding awarded: $5,000

This grant focuses on club visibility, community engagement, and participation growth. Funding will be used for promotional and event infrastructure, including:

• Club banners and pitch signage
• Movable promotional signage for community events and open days
• Marquees and gazebos for game days, fundraisers, BBQs, and events

These assets will help us promote hockey to new players of all ages and backgrounds, improve our presence at Sydney Olympic Park, and support a welcoming, inclusive environment at club events.

Both grants strongly align with the Local Sport Grant Program objectives to:

• Increase participation in sport
• Reduce barriers to entry
• Support the sustainability of community sporting clubs

This funding enables us to invest directly back into our members and the broader hockey community
